NOT SO SOON
Hi, I’m Rishi—an engineer by profession, a researcher by passion, and an adventurer at heart. Originally from India, I’ve permanently emigrated and now proudly call Sydney home—a city that feeds both my love for the ocean and the amazing terrain close-by.
By day, I’m deep in the world of electrical engineering and AI-driven energy forecasting (yep, I'm a geek 🤓). Whether it’s optimizing substation designs, running earthing simulations, or developing machine learning models that predict electricity demand (and win awards while doing it - okay I promise no more flexing), I’m driven by curiosity and a desire to solve real-world problems. My current PhD focuses on predictive analysis for energy risk management—bringing together my technical expertise and a vision for smarter, more resilient grids.
Outside of work? You’ll find me hiking rugged trails, camera in hand—capturing sweeping landscapes (ask me about Roy’s Peak!). I’m also a bit of a aviation rookie, an aspiring world traveler, and a firm believer in squeezing every bit of adventure out of life. When I’m not outdoors, I’m probably nerding out over cafe-racers (Triumph Bonneville Bobber - Thornton Hundred Mod is my absolute favourite), writing fiction, or crafting wild ideas for AI health tech.
In short: I’m building my career and my life with equal parts grit, brainpower, and heart—rooted here in Sydney, but always looking toward the next big horizon.
Ph.D titled "Energy Risk Management and Planning using Predictive Analysis" at School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, University of New South Wales, Sydney.
Ph.D Supervisor: Professor Jayashri Ravishankar, Associate Dean (Education), Facult of Engineering.
Electrical Engineer at Mott MacDonald Australia Pty. Ltd. I actively design and contribute to major infrastructure and renewable energy projects including BESS farms, pumped hydro systems, and Sydney Metro — specialising in earthing and bonding.
